MLB GAME RECAPS

Baseball MLB Game Results Jun 15th, 2025

An action-packed Sunday in the MLB delivered statement wins, walk-offs, and a dominant day for our top cappers. Behind strong reads and sharp angles, Sports Central, Gino Russo, and Ryan Davis went a combined 8-1, cashing across totals, spreads, and moneylines with surgical precision. Let’s dive into the full June 15th recap and spotlight the games where sharp money ruled the diamond.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Mets

The Tampa Bay Rays took full control at Citi Field with a 9-0 shutout win over the New York Mets. Shane Baz was electric through six scoreless innings, striking out seven and allowing just two hits, while the Rays’ offense went to work with a six-run third inning. Randy Arozarena doubled in two during the rally, and Yandy Díaz added a three-run homer to break the game wide open. Tampa capitalized on a shaky outing by Griffin Canning, who was shelled for five runs in four innings.

Baz didn’t need much help as he dismantled the Mets’ lineup with pinpoint fastballs and a devastating curveball. He induced 13 whiffs and didn’t allow a single runner past second base. The bullpen backed him up with three clean innings to complete the combined two-hit shutout. New York’s offense, which had been averaging over five runs per game in June, looked flat and unprepared.

This was a signature win for Gino Russo, who cashed the Rays ML at +151, and Ryan Davis, who also locked in Tampa at +143. Both capitalized on Baz’s potential and the Mets’ regression spot in convincing fashion.

Los Angeles Angels vs. Baltimore Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles thrashed the Los Angeles Angels 11-2 behind a five-RBI performance from Adley Rutschman and six strong innings by Seth Blewett. Rutschman’s bases-clearing double in the seventh was the exclamation mark on a game that was dominated from start to finish by Baltimore. The O’s offense piled up 13 hits, taking full advantage of Yusei Kikuchi’s command issues.

Seth Blewett was sharp in his third career start, working out of a two-on, no-out jam in the fourth and pitching confidently through the sixth. Rutschman added a two-run homer in the fifth to blow the game open, while Ryan Mountcastle and Gunnar Henderson also drove in runs. For Los Angeles, it was a quiet night for their top hitters, and Kikuchi was chased after giving up six runs in just over four innings.

The offensive fireworks helped Ryan Davis cash on the Over (o8½), which was nearly covered by Baltimore alone in the first five innings.

Detroit Tigers vs. Cincinnati Reds

The Cincinnati Reds surged past the Detroit Tigers 8-4 on the road, fueled by three RBIs from Spencer Steer and another impactful game from Elly De La Cruz. The Reds got on the board early, putting up four runs in the second and never surrendering the lead.

Nick Lodolo was solid, scattering six hits and three runs over six innings, while the bullpen held Detroit to one run the rest of the way. Tigers starter Reese Olson didn’t make it past the fourth inning, yielding six earned runs and putting Detroit behind early.

This contest was a moneymaker for Sports Central, who nailed the Reds ML at +151 — a sharp call that paid off with Cincinnati taking control early and never relenting.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Seattle Mariners

The Seattle Mariners put together a crisp all-around performance to blank the Cleveland Guardians 6-0 behind seven shutout innings from George Kirby. He was efficient and pinpoint with his control, striking out eight and walking none while scattering just four hits. Seattle’s offense came alive in the middle innings with big hits from Julio Rodríguez and Ty France, both of whom drove in two runs.

The Guardians struggled at the plate once again, now with just six total runs over their last four games. Triston McKenzie was chased in the fourth after allowing four earned runs, and the Cleveland bullpen couldn’t stop the bleeding.

Sports Central once again found value here, taking the under (u8) and cashing comfortably in what turned into a smooth pitching showcase by the Mariners.

Kansas City Royals vs. Oakland Athletics

The Kansas City Royals snapped a three-game skid with a late push to edge out the Oakland Athletics 3-2 at Kauffman Stadium. MJ Melendez’s sac fly in the bottom of the seventh proved to be the difference after both teams traded runs early.

Brady Singer gave KC six strong innings, allowing just two runs while striking out seven. Mason Miller was untouchable in relief for the A’s, but they simply couldn’t get anything going against the Royals’ pen after the sixth. Oakland left eight men on base and squandered multiple scoring chances.

Though the Royals took the win, Sports Central had the right angle on the Athletics +1½, which hit due to the narrow one-run result. Another sharp, margin-focused call in a tightly contested game.

Sports Central Profile

Sports Central delivered a standout day on June 15th, posting a 4-1 record and generating $370 in net profit across a sharp betting slate. Their reads on low-scoring matchups and key underdogs were on point, with a disciplined approach that nailed totals and dogs alike.

The highlight of the day came with the Reds ML (+151) against Detroit — a classic sharp vs. square play that cashed with ease. Cincinnati jumped ahead early and never looked back, validating Sports Central’s decision to ride the live dog with a potent lineup. Another key win came via the under in Mariners vs. Guardians, a spot that flew under the radar but hit with minimal sweat as Seattle blanked Cleveland 6-0.

Their lone miss was a tight spread on the Mets game, but the rest of the slate showed why Sports Central consistently sits near the top. Review their complete track record here.

New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

At Fenway Park, the Boston Red Sox outlasted the New York Yankees 5-4 in a game full of missed chances and dramatic swings. Rafael Devers smacked a two-run homer, and Kenley Jansen worked out of a jam in the ninth to notch his 18th save.

Carlos Rodón lasted just four innings for New York, giving up four runs, while Tanner Houck went six strong for Boston, striking out six and giving up three runs. Aaron Judge homered again, but the Yankees couldn’t capitalize on opportunities in the seventh and ninth innings.

No spotlight bets were placed on this game, but it delivered the usual AL East tension and postgame narratives with postseason implications.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Philadelphia Phillies

The Philadelphia Phillies overwhelmed the Toronto Blue Jays 7-1 behind a dominant Ranger Suarez outing and some timely power from Bryce Harper. Suarez went seven innings with eight strikeouts, allowing just one run to lower his season ERA to 1.92.

Harper hit his 15th homer in the fifth inning — a three-run blast that broke the game open. Trea Turner added two doubles and two runs scored in a well-rounded performance. For Toronto, Kevin Gausman couldn’t get past the fourth inning and the bullpen did little to stop the bleeding.

This game wasn’t one of the featured bets but marked another impressive showing for the Phillies, who’ve now won four straight and hold the best record in the NL.

Colorado Rockies vs. Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves fought past the Colorado Rockies 6-4 at Truist Park, thanks in large part to a four-run seventh inning capped by Ozzie Albies’ clutch two-run double. Colorado had led 4-2 entering the seventh, but their bullpen collapsed under pressure.

Reynaldo López gave Atlanta a strong start, striking out nine across six innings, while Rockies starter Ryan Feltner exited after allowing three runs in five innings. Ronald Acuña Jr. added three hits and a stolen base in a game where he looked fully in rhythm at the plate. Colorado stranded nine men and blew a late lead, extending their road struggles.

Ryan Davis correctly read Atlanta’s second-half surge and cashed on Braves -1½. It was a classic bounce-back angle and a smart fade of the Rockies bullpen.

Chicago White Sox vs. Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers stayed hot with a 7-2 win over the Chicago White Sox, riding a five-RBI game from Adolis García and a strong bullpen outing after an early exit by Andrew Heaney. García crushed a three-run homer in the third and added a two-run double in the sixth to power the offense.

Heaney was lifted in the third due to tightness in his shoulder, but the Texas pen covered seven innings of one-run ball. Meanwhile, Chicago’s Jesse Scholtens was tagged for six earned runs in just over four frames. The Sox offense never found rhythm and left six runners on base.

Ryan Davis had the over (o8½), which cleared with ease thanks to Texas’ early fireworks and a consistent push from the middle of the order.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers pulled off a tight 3-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals thanks to a go-ahead RBI double from William Contreras and a stellar outing from Freddy Peralta. Peralta punched out nine over six innings, allowing two runs, and improved to 7-4 on the season.

Miles Mikolas was solid for St. Louis but left a slider up to Contreras in the sixth, and Milwaukee never gave up the lead after that. Devin Williams returned to the mound and locked down the save with a clean ninth. The Cards continue to spiral, now losers of seven straight, while Milwaukee widens its gap in the division.

No bets were placed on this game by the top three cappers, but it had clear implications for the NL Central race.
